| The Touchstone Energy® Community
Service Challenge is a program that has been established
to help reinforce the four core values of Touchstone
Energy®; Integrity, Accountability, Innovation
and Commitment to Community.
CIPCO’s program recognizes volunteerism
in the community. As employees volunteer on projects
within their communities, and are not compensated
by CIPCO, they accumulate points for each hour
volunteered. These points are redeemed for reward
merchandise or can be applied toward a charitable
donation.
In 2007, 79 employees from CIPCO and its member
systems served over 9,606 hours volunteering
in the community. Twenty-six of the participants
chose to use their awards as charitable donations
back to their communities.
