Economic Development

CIPCO has joined with its members to offer programs and policies to support economic growth within the state of Iowa. Furthermore, we have established partnerships with a network of companies to assist prospective power customers in property location, financing and competitive pricing. The participation in these types of economic development activities assist our members with stabilizing costs, create new employment opportunities and increase sales within their service territories.

The programs made available to our members encourage commercial and industrial development including: support for community economic development organizations; assistance with construction of spec buildings; assistance with feasibility studies; and assistance with industrial park developments.

Recently, CIPCO hosted an informational meeting about programs offered by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Follow this link to view the entire presentation.

Community and Economic Development Revolving Loan Fund

The RLF is a local funding source with a goal of providing low interest loans to assist with local economic and community development projects.  The RLF is administered by the CIPCO Board of Directors. The fund’s priorities include; job creation and retention, diversification of the local economy, skill development of the rural workforce and public infrastructure upgrades to improve the health, safety, and /or medical care of rural residents.
