Member Support

CIPCO provides support for educating member consumers about the benefits of energy efficient improvements and motivates decision making by offering incentives that encourage better energy utilization and member savings.  This support includes educational materials and promotional events that provide a positive image for the electric cooperatives. Other CIPCO activities include improving awareness of the benefits of energy efficiency by association with appropriate trade ally and industry groups, and training or other educational activities.

CIPCO works with its member systems to offer coordinated strategic incentives and value-added programs and services.  CIPCO supports its member systems through initiatives that enable them to successfully develop, implement, monitor and evaluate the programs and services being offered. In addition to annual workshops on energy efficiency, other training sessions include topics such as customer service, technical training, communication skills, and personal development. 

Technical energy services are facilitated by CIPCO to deliver specialized expertise that is beneficial to the member consumers.  These services help member consumers to understand their electrical usage and implement energy efficiency measures into their homes, farms and businesses.

A variety of communication services and support are accessible to all members including advertising and promotion support, newsletter designs, articles, website design, and support for the Touchstone Energy® program.
