Electric & Plug-In Hybrid Vehicle Program

Following research completed over an eight-month period, CIPCO launched an Electric Vehicle Marketing Program for 2018. The Member Services group that includes representatives from each CIPCO member worked on developing the incentives to encourage the purchase of electric vehicles (EV) and plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV), empower and grow Iowa’s economy, reduce the impact to the environment, and create lasting value for our Member Systems.

  • The program offers incentives for purchases of all-electric and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles and charging stations for members of CIPCO Member System Rural Electric Cooperatives.

  • Electric charging stations are available at CIPCO offices in Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, Creston, and Wilton

  • CIPCO is offering to provide one charging station for each Member System.

  • A 2017 Chevy Bolt has been added to CIPCO's fleet of vehicles, replacing two gas-fueled vehicles, to help market the initiative and to provide an interactive experience with EVs.

  • The Bolt is available for our Member Systems to use for promotional and educational purposes.
