More than 200 people showed up Feb. 6-7 in West Des Moines to hear current information on building sciences including new technology, hands-on displays for homebuilders, electricians and heating/plumbing contractors, educators and students.
A highlight this year was the addition of the “MIB Throne of Tools” created by Scott Schlegel last fall. The throne was auctioned off at the end of the event and Don Roth from Eastern Iowa REC was the lucky bidder. The funds raised from the auction will be used to offset costs for future student groups to attend MIB.
Momentum is Building offers up-to-date building science information, practical hands-on information and new technology displays for building trade professionals - including homebuilders, electricians, and heating-plumbing contractors.
The annual conference is managed and organized by Iowa’s generation and transmission cooperatives, including CIPCO, and sponsored by the Touchstone Energy Cooperatives of Iowa.
